The Cutting Edge, Ep. 7 - NCHA's Newest Millionaire, Monty Buntin.

Today on the Cutting Edge Podcast we sit down with the National Cutting Horse Association's newest MILLION dollar rider - Monty Buntin of Monty Buntin Cutting Horses. At the recent Idaho Cutting Horse Association Spring LAE & Weekend Show, cutting horse hall of fame trainer, Tim Smith, got on the microphone to announce something historic had just occurred - California trainer, Monty Buntin had just crossed over the NCHA One Million Dollar Earnings mark. Although a million is always significant, Monty did it at the very young age of 27 with all his earnings being won in the open division.

On Episode Seven we talk Monty's career, including major milestones like making the Open Finals at 21, and winning the Limited Open Derby the following year, on the stallion - High Brow Jackson. We talk mentors, like former boss and Hall of Fame Trainer, Tim Smith, the people who have made his success possible, like his beloved wife, Tessa, and the pressure that comes along with the ups and downs it takes to make a million at such a young age.
