On Episode 4 we sit down with Mike Wood and Roper Curtiss, of Mike Wood Performance Horses, a barn with an incredible track record of churning out world finalists, and world champions. Mike Wood, himself, has been the $5,000 Novice Horse World Show Champion five consecutive years in a row and this year captured World Champion titles in the 5,000 Novice Horse and the 25,000 Novice horse. In 2018, the "WoodHood" had 17 world finalists competing at the NCHA World Finals & for the fourth consecutive year the $2,000 Limit Rider World Champion was from there barn.

We sit down with Mike and Roper to talk the intense schedule, the maintenance of the horses, the coaching of the riders and the ins and outs of what goes in to running such a successful program. My take aways from this great conversation were... I really want to go cut with Mike and Roper! But, in all seriousness, I love how they are able to run a tight ship, but keep the hauling and cutting fun for their clients. Their massive support of weekend cutters, and the industry as a whole, is also commendable. If you've ever wanted a peek inside one of the top weekend programs in the world, this podcast is for you!
